Edward A. Loucks, a Senior Vice President, at TMI Executive Resources, is based in Washington, D.C., where he works with John Hackett as the senior consultant for client services.

Ed is a native of California, and spent 20 years in the Midwest before moving to Washington, D.C. His background is in both higher education and business, where his expertise has been in human resources development. He has been with universities such as University of Southern California, Texas Christian University, and the University of Texas, and with corporations such as Texas Instruments, Western Auto Supply Company, American Century Investors, and Sunburst Hospitality Corporation. He served as Director of Human Resources in the last three companies, and built training, development and organizational education functions for each from scratch. He has been a career counselor for over 25 years.

His special expertise is in career counseling, executive coaching, assessment, and the development of leadership skills. He has designed, written and delivered courses in total quality management, leadership, managerial skills, performance evaluation, and group decision-making processes, and is qualified in the use of a dozen assessment tools such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Insight Inventory, Lifestyles Inventory I and II, and the Campbell Skills and Interest Inventory.

Ed earned his Bachelor of Arts in history from Westmont College, Santa Barbara, California, and his MA and PhD in Human Behavior in Organizations from Claremont Graduate School, Claremont, California.
